Aspects of neurohumoral regulation of the functional activity of fish under the influence of abiotic and biotic factors, physiological and biochemical processes in the body of hydrobionts during the adaptation and compensatory period, as well as the transformation of climatic factors and the impact on the parameters of the fish organism during ontogenesis were studied. The current state of the art was also taken into account: the water areas of Southern Ukraine in connection with the consequences of the influence of Russian aggression, the undermining of the Kakhovka HPP - a comprehensive assessment of the main factors transforming the ecological state of the lower reaches of the Dnieper due to violations of river flow regulation was carried out. Special attention was paid to the development of environmental aspects of the restoration of the industry in the post-war period and the assessment of damage to fisheries, the state of water bodies. The features of the formation of bottom sediments in floodplain water bodies and the state of the natural food base of the transformed water areas of the Dnieper-Bug estuary system and other similar water areas were studied. The research was based on theoretical methods (analysis of current and retrospective data, synthesis, system analysis, mathematical modeling and forecasting), experimental, expeditionary and laboratory methods (hydrological, hydrochemical, hydrobiological, histological, ichthyological), according to generally accepted methodological guidance documents. For the objectivity of the results obtained, a research scheme was developed based on hydrological, hydrochemical, hydrobiological, physiological, biochemical methods.
