A retrospective review and analysis of methods, principles, and technologies for the development and construction of simulators for training operational and dispatch personnel in the energy sector was conducted. 2. Based on a comparative analysis of approaches to the construction of functional cause-and-effect simulation models of dynamic objects for use in training sessions, requirements were formulated for a promising technology for constructing simulation models of dynamic objects of energy equipment as cause-and-effect models of response to personnel activities. 3. Principles, methods, and means for building simulation cause-and-effect models of dynamic objects for training exercises have been developed. 4. The structure and conceptual basis of the technology for the simulator training designer with a library of typical components have been determined, allowing experienced industry specialists to: - design scenarios and models for simulator training without the need to immerse themselves in the process of low-level programming; - create, develop, and expand a library of typical technological components that are characteristic of a particular subject environment or have distinct technological specifics. The results of the work have practical and applied value and will be used in the development of computer training systems for the training of energy enterprise personnel and in further scientific research.
