The subject of research is the parameters and quality indicators of the combined unit. The objectives of the research are to develop, investigate and introduce into production a combined unit for vertical tillage and sowing green manure crops. The purpose of the research is to reduce the cost of tillage and sowing green manure crops, to create competitive means of mechanization of domestic production for import substitution. Research methods are analytical and experimental laboratory and field studies, standard test methods using the developed prototype of the combined unit. Research results: an analysis of the technology of simultaneous tillage and sowing of green manure and machine designs of foreign companies was carried out, on the basis of which a combined tillage and sowing unit was developed on the basis of a disc cultivator KD-6 and a mini seeder for sowing green manure crops "Turbo Jet Super 8"; according to the developed drawings, a prototype of a combined tillage and sowing unit was manufactured; working width of the unit – 6 m, adjustable depth of tillage and sowing green manure – 2 – 5 cm, working speed – up to 15 km/h, adjustable seeding rate – 2 – 150 kg/ha, seed hopper capacity 200 dm3, distance between plate reflectors 750 mm, height of reflectors above the soil surface – 780 mm, required tractor power – from 220 hp; the unit was tested, the drawings were corrected and transferred to the enterprise "Krasnyanske JV "Agromash" LLC for staging developed unit for production.
