The main goal of the work was to study the cognitive and discursive features of the artistic texts, their pragmatic orientation and communicative specificity. The conditional goal provided for the implementation of the following tasks: the theoretical and methodological principles of the study of the cognitive and discursive features of the artistic texts were substantiated; the means of cognitive and discursive verbalization of the character's linguistic personality were characterized; the main cognitive and discursive characteristics of the artistic discourse for children were determined; the features of the verbalization and discursive actualization of toponymic concepts in modern works of art were analyzed; the components of the heterogeneous structure of the artistic discourse for children were described.
