The goal of the work is to develop geometric and finite element models of a steel tank subjected to combined loading. The research method is information-analytical. The main stages of constructing of a geometric parametric model of a vertical steel tank in CAD systems have been regarded. The key geometric parameters of the tank have been identified. A parametric finite element model of the vertical steel tank with variable parameters subjected to combined loading has been developed. Geometric and finite element models of a horizontal steel tank on concrete supports have been created. A finite element model of the cylindrical wall of a shell structure using functionally graded materials have been developed in order to enhance the structural strength.
