Sokolovsky» popup.description1 The project aims to develop scientific and technological basis for the restoration of organic matter of chemically contaminated soils through the use of humic preparations and soil amedments based on organic raw materials popup.description2 The objects of the research are organic raw materials, soil amendments, soil organic matter, podzolic chernozem, and plants. The aim of the study is to develop scientific and technological foundations for the restoration of organic matter in contaminated soils under conditions of military activities in Ukraine. Research methods include small-plot field experiments, modeling, and laboratory and analytical methods. The conducted studies revealed the effects of oil contamination on agrochemical indicators and the transformation of organic matter in podzolic chernozem. A technological approach to producing a soil amendment with high-quality organic matter was scientifically substantiated. The effects of an organic soil amendment and potassium humate on reducing the toxicity of heavy metals in chemically contaminated podzolic chernozem were established. Based on the research results, recommendations entitled “Application of Humic Preparations and Soil Amendments on Chemically Contaminated Agricultural Soils” were developed and published. The research findings were tested at the State Enterprise “Experimental Farm ‘Hrakivske’” of the National Scientific Center “O. N. Sokolovsky Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry” (Kharkiv Region) on an area of 2.0 ha. The economic effect amounted to UAH 1,200–1,500 per hectare.
