Research Problem. Education is a fundamental component of Ukraine’s Recovery Plan, ensuring the development of human resources (in accordance with the Priority Areas (Themes) of Scientific Research and Scientific-Technical (Experimental) Developments of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine). Object of the study – professional training and the development of green skills among learners in an empathetic educational environment. Subject of the study – the pedagogical technology for forming green skills within the educational environment of an institution. In accordance with the objectives of the scientific research, at the initial theoretical stage, the normative, legal, and organizational framework of the experiment was developed. The study involved an examination of national and international experience of educational institutions in forming green skills. Special attention was paid to the theoretical training of teaching staff. Thirty-hour (1 ECTS credit) thematic professional development courses were conducted for participants of the applied scientific research. A survey/questionnaire was carried out to assess teachers’ readiness to engage in innovative activities. A total of 1003 participants took part in the study, including 515 respondents in the experimental group (EG) and 488 participants in the control group (CG) from eight regions of Ukraine.
