The study aims to develop an integrated approach to incorporating post-industrial landscapes into regional tourism and recreation systems in Ukraine. An improved mechanism for changing the designated land use of revitalized industrial sites for geotourism purposes is proposed, combining legal, spatial planning, and environmental components to ensure regulatory legitimacy and investment attractiveness. The relevance of applying geographic information systems (GIS) and cartographic analysis as core tools for identifying, planning, and monitoring territories with geotourism potential is demonstrated. The effectiveness of integrating multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) with cartographic analysis for recreational zoning of the Prydniprovskyi region is confirmed, enabling the development of a hierarchical spatial structure of “region – district – zone” and the identification of priority areas for geotourism and recreational development.
