Head Balashov Eduard M., д.психол.н. Registration Date 29-01-2026 Organization The National University of Ostroh Academy popup.description1 Conducting a study of the process of social and psychological rehabilitation of persons who participated in or suffered from the military actions, by forming metacognitive monitoring for identifying its effective components, their connections with the effectiveness of the process of psychological recovery and psychotherapy; studying the influence of the characteristics of personal qualities, cognitive, individual and psychological features on this process. popup.description2 Socio-psychological rehabilitation of affected individuals through metacognitive monitoring develops and strengthens their existing coping resources for stressful situations. It fosters stress management skills and the ability to plan for both the immediate and long-term future, including training in organising one’s own life space and time. Supplementing metacognitive monitoring components with self-reflection and self-regulation promotes the formation of resilience to crisis and emergency situations at both the individual and community levels. The researchers conducted an analysis of contemporary studies on the developmental mechanisms and psychological characteristics of the disorder, accounting for interpersonal and social factors. Particular attention was paid to the differentiation between PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD), as well as their clinical characteristics. The primary diagnostic approaches and potential directions for further research were identified. The study proposes a model for monitoring and managing the psycho-emotional state of military personnel. This model integrates psychodiagnostic assessment, emotion scaling, physiological monitoring, and psychological interventions to detect and treat the disorder. Domestic and international standards were incorporated into the development of this model, and practical interventions to reduce risk and improve service members' mental health were proposed. Research results highlighted the value of psycholinguistic analysis as a tool for psychological assessment and monitoring. Psycholinguistic markers of rumination can provide significant insight into the internal state of military personnel, capturing the dynamics of emotional exhaustion and cognitive traps. The proposed approach enhances traditional psychological assessment methods and provides a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying adaptation or maladaptation under combat stress.
