Purpose of the study. To examine the anthropogenic impact on the formation of species structure in agrophytocenoses, soil contamination levels, and the environmental safety of crop production; to analyse the current state of waste management systems and prospects for their utilisation; to substantiate directions for improving ecosystem conditions and addressing environmental challenges in the agro-industrial complex; and to develop methodological approaches to environmentally balanced resource use and identify ways to reduce anthropogenic pressure. Research methods. Analytical and comparative methods for assessing the condition of agrophytocenoses; ecological monitoring of soils and crop products; systems analysis of ecosystem functioning; methods for evaluating the effectiveness of environmental protection measures and waste management systems; methodological approaches to forming environmentally balanced models of natural resource use. This research belongs to applied studies and is aimed at substantiating conceptual and practical foundations for environmentally balanced resource use in the agro-industrial complex.
