The purpose of the work is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological principles and develop scientific and methodological approaches to organizing the development of the tourism and recreation complex of Ukraine in the context of globalization transformations. Research methods – system analysis to study the tourist and recreational complex as a holistic system; SWOT analysis to assess strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats; economic and statistical methods (correlation and regression analysis); comparative and benchmarking analytical method to assess national and international practices; modeling of development scenarios to assess strategic options; content analysis and case method to study best practices of world tourism; questionnaires and interviews as sources of primary information; geoinformation analysis (GIS) for territorial mapping of tourist resources. The practical value of the study results lies in the integrated approach to the development of the tourist and recreational complex of Ukraine. They provide the basis for increasing economic efficiency, social stability and environmental security of the country, contribute to strengthening defense capabilities and national security, and also create prerequisites for the integration of Ukraine into the global tourist space, taking into account modern challenges and transformations.
