The highest pregnancy rate was in cows that were inseminated from 61 to 80 days (63.4%, n=123). The content of erythrocytes and leukocytes in the blood of healthy and endometritis-stricken cows (n=108) was studied to assess the condition of the uterus. Lochia was biochemically examined for the presence of mucopolysaccharides in cows (n=37). Their absence indicates a pathological condition of the uterus. The relationship between the incidence of latent mastitis with the disease of cows with endometritis after calving and the duration of the service period as an indicator of the reproductive ability of cows (n=51) was studied. A comprehensive study was conducted on the relationship between biochemical blood parameters and the duration of the service period in the blood serum of cows of different physiological groups (n=22). A decrease in all hematological and biochemical parameters studied by us was established in newly calved cows (some of which are statistically significant) compared to the group of deep-bodied cows. In addition, the AST/ALT ratio was found to be increased in animals with a higher service period relative to this indicator in cows with a short one, which can be used as an additional criterion for diagnosing their reproductive potential. The use of the results obtained will allow controlling and maintaining the required level of biochemical serum parameters of cows during the service period. A mandatory gynecological examination of cows has been introduced, starting from 40–45 days after calving and, if necessary, correction of ovarian and uterine function to achieve a calf yield rate of 80–90%. With the additional use of 22 cows bred from the herd, Holstein and Ukrainian red-and-white dairy breeds for embryo production, an average of 2.27 heifers were obtained from them.
