Mechnikov National University popup.description1 The aim of the project is to search among representatives of extremophilic marine microbiota of the sea and hypersaline water bodies for promising producers of new bacteriocins with antimicrobial activity against pathogens of purulent infections, which can be used to treat the wounded with combat trauma popup.description2 At the second stage of the project, a genomic-metabolomic analysis of producers of bacteriocins and other metabolites of Black Sea origin was carried out using whole-genome sequencing and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry methods with subsequent bioinformatic analysis. It was found that the spectra of extracellular secondary metabolites of the studied strains of lactobacteria and actinobacteria are characterized by the presence of bacteriocins and other metabolites, including cyclo(phenylalanylprolyl), phosphonochlorin, octahydro-1,2-indolizidinediol, 2,4-dialkylthiazoles, 3-(4-aminophenyl)-2-propenoic acid, N-(2-sulfoethyl)glutamine, acremolide A, bacillsubteramide A, nibomycin, tilimicin, chrysotriazole B, antimycins A₁–A₁₇, germicidin C, phenazine-1-carboxamide, daidzein, ridsmicin F, and yusoufen A1, which exhibit antibacterial, antifungal, and cytotoxic activity. In the genome of the strain LAB Wg-producer of bacteriocin from seaweed, a cluster of RiPP genes, previously unknown in science, was discovered, which may be responsible for the production of new bacteriocins. It was established that the genome of the strain Streptomyces sp. 15 contains genes responsible for the production of the polyketide antibiotic piericidin A1, lipid antibiotics from the group of dimeric cinnamoyl lipids yusofiens (A1, B1–B4), which inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi, genes for DNA topoisomerase inhibitors geosmin, ecosides A, B, C and D, osmoprotector ectoine, etc. According to the results of the genomic-metabolomic analysis, 6 strains of producers of possible new and rare practically important bacteriocins and other metabolites were selected that can be used for the treatment of wounded with combat trauma in conditions of purulent complications: LAB Wg, Enterococcus sp. W1.1, Streptomyces chumphonensis conc9, Streptomyces chumphonensis conc10, Streptomyces ambofaciens Myt5, Streptomyces sp. 15. Product Description popup.authors Mykola D. Shtenikov Nadiia V.
