Object of research: the process of studying the energy characteristics of a solar dryer, taking into account the metrological properties of means of measuring thermal parameters. Purpose of work: development and justification of a methodology for studying the energy characteristics of a solar dryer, taking into account the metrological properties of means of measuring thermal parameters. The implementation of this goal will allow to increase the accuracy of assessing the efficiency of drying plants, optimize their operation and contribute to the development of energy-saving technologies in agricultural production. Research methods. Theoretical research was carried out using the theory of higher mathematics. Experimental research was carried out according to the methodology of conducting a full factorial experiment. Research data was processed on a personal computer using mathematical statistics and regression analysis. As a result of the research, the following was established: 1. The metrological characteristics of the means of measuring thermal parameters (thermocouples, anemometers, psychrometers) were determined, their errors and stability in variable operating conditions of the solar dryer were estimated. 2. An experimental setup and measurement methodology were developed, which ensures high accuracy in determining temperature, humidity, air flow velocity and solar radiation intensity. 3. The influence of measuring device errors on the results of determining energy characteristics was assessed and recommendations were developed to increase the accuracy of measurements. 4. Ways to improve the design and operating modes of the solar dryer were proposed, aimed at increasing its energy efficiency and reducing energy losses.
