The purpose of the work is to improve the legal mechanisms for the implementation of labor rights of employees and to substantiate proposals and recommendations for improving the labor legislation of Ukraine. Research methods are general scientific and special legal. General scientific research methods: analysis and synthesis (used to reveal the content of labor rights and mechanisms for their protection), induction and deduction (formulation of conclusions and proposals), systemic method (study of the protection of labor rights as a holistic legal mechanism). Special legal research methods: formal legal (analysis of the norms of current labor legislation and international regulatory legal acts), comparative legal (comparison of national legislation and law with the law of the EU countries), historical and legal method (study of the genesis and evolution of legal regulation of labor relations), legal modeling method (formulation of proposals for improving legal mechanisms for the implementation of labor rights and labor legislation of Ukraine). Ukraine has accepted the existing challenges caused by such factors as: the pandemic (COVID-19), which led to the transformation of the labor market through the digitalization of labor relations (remote work, home work and other non-standard forms of employment, which create new risks of violation of labor rights of employees), as well as the introduction of the legal regime of martial law, under the conditions of which there is an urgent need to introduce special labor regimes and additional guarantees for the protection of labor rights of employees in order to maintain social stability of the population.
