The study of hydrothermal exchange processes and their parameterization in the technology of recycling thermal water drainage under certain factors in conditions of a critical shortage of surface water resources that feed the NPP storage tanks was based on the latest scientific approaches and was consistent with the technology of artificial activation of water absorption by water-containing layers of groundwater and the reversal of the water supply and thermal water exchange system. Based on the geological-hydrogeological and engineering-geological analysis of geological massifs in the areas where the industrial sites of Ukrainian NPPs are located, the criterion level of hydrosafety in reactor cooling and water supply systems was detailed, taking into account natural and technological factors, namely, capacitive reserves and resources, temperatures of surface and groundwater. At the same time, a significant factor related to the national security of the state is the scenario of destruction of hydrological sources of replenishment of storage tanks and geofiltration supply circuits. Based on this, a numerical model of the geofiltration area of the existing water supply was created and identified, taking into account water-containing layers, which are potential components of hydrothermal recycling in the NPP hydrosafety system using capacitive and resource reserves of groundwater. The R&D are coordinated with the elements of the emergency situation provoked by the destruction of the Kakhovsky reservoir dam on 06.06.2023.
