The purpose of the work is to improve the legal framework for the professional adaptation of war veterans in the field of employment, in particular, the labour and social rights and guarantees of war veterans, to study the problems and obstacles to starting a veteran business, to identify ways to overcome them, and to develop mechanisms to support veteran businesses. Research methods. The methodological basis of the research is a combination of general scientific and special legal methods of scientific knowledge. The use of the structural-functional method made it possible to systematise the elements of the legal status of war veterans and analyse the mechanisms for the realisation of their labour and entrepreneurial rights. The formal-dogmatic method was used in the analysis of national legislation regulating labour, social protection and entrepreneurial activity of war veterans, as well as to clarify and deepen the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the study. The comparative legal method was used to compare national legal approaches to regulating the labour and entrepreneurial rights of war veterans with international and European standards, which made it possible to identify trends in their mutual influence. Methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as classification and generalisation, were used to identify the main groups of guarantees and benefits for war veterans in the field of labour and social protection, as well as to systematise approaches to veteran entrepreneurship and business planning as a component of their economic integration into society.
