As part of expedition trips during the 2025 growing season, scientific monitoring studies of the species composition of primary producers (phytoplankton, hydrophilic macrophytes) and consumers (zooplankton, zoophytos, zooperiphyton, ichthyofauna, hydrophilic ornithological and theriofauna) of the studied water body were carried out. Based on the analysis of existing documentation and our own research, an assessment of the ecological state of hydrobiont populations as indicator organisms was carried out and further monitoring studies of the Shchyretsk Reservoir were proposed.
