Head Ruslan S. Vastianov, д.мед.н. Registration Date 02-03-2026 Organization Odessa National Medical University popup.description1 The aim of the study: to investigate the pathogenesis of resistant forms of chronic epilepsy on the model of pharmacological kindling and to develop on this basis a method of complex pathogenetic correction popup.description2 It was established that during the formation of picrotoxin-induced chronic convulsive syndrome, opioid mechanisms prevail in the structure of late-tonic behavioral reactions of animals. At the time of the formation of picrotoxin kindling, neuroleptic components prevail in the structure of late-tonic behavioral reactions of animals. At the end of the non-convulsive period after a 14-day interval after the completion of kindling, opioid mechanisms prevail in the structure of late-tonic behavioral reactions of animals. In rats, in the dynamics of picrotoxin-induced kindling, disorders of late-tonic behavior and swimming behavior are recorded, which are correlates of non-convulsive behavior. The detected disorders of non-convulsive types of behavior progressed in the dynamics of the formation of the kindling model of epilepsy and were maximal at the stages of completed kindling and in the post-kindling stage. The study of non-convulsive varieties of motor and swimming behavior and their disorders during the specified time intervals of the formation of chronic epileptic activity is important for the use of certain behavioral activity disorders as an early diagnosis of epilepsy manifestations, when motor convulsive manifestations are absent and probable behavioral disorders do not reach maximum intensity.
