Recommendations have been developed for the selection of modern systems for the construction of hydrogeological observation wells and online monitoring systems for groundwater levels at eco-hazardous sites. Based on engineering-geological, microclimatic and geotechnical studies of the Antoniev Caves complex (Chernihiv), a scientifically justified basis for its conservation strategy has been created. An assessment of the pollution of the geological environment because of the destruction of the oil depot in the village of Kalynivka (Kyiv region) has been carried out, which creates the basis for the implementation of a pollution monitoring system and planning of remediation measures. As part of a series of tasks to study the hydrogeological and engineering-geological consequences of the Kakhovka HPP destruction a regional 3D mathematical hydrogeological model of the area affected by the destroyed reservoir was developed. Geochemical modelling of interactions in the water-rock system in the zone of influence of the destroyed reservoir within the Nikopol district was used to assess the physical and chemical mechanisms of groundwater composition formation. In the area of analysis and assessment of the development of hazardous exogenous geological processes within the impact zone of the former Kakhovka reservoir, the studied territory was ranked according to the density and frequency of various types of processes occurrences, and the landslides susceptibility model was created. To substantiate measures for the preservation of geological heritage sites, a structure for a GIS-integrated database of geological heritage sites in Ukraine was developed.
