It draws on 241 sources. Its main goal was to assess floodplain ecosystems in Ukraine, monitor soils, habitats, and vegetation, develop predictive models, and create conservation measures to preserve soils, habitats, and biota amid global change. We obtained the following scientific and technical results at the main stages of the work, in particular data on the inventory of soils, corresponding types of habitats and vegetation, as well as selected groups of biota of floodplain ecosystems in selected model territories of wetlands in Ukraine; data on the monitoring of floodplain vegetation, habitats, soil, and key species of biota groups over the last 5-25 years; predictive models of changes in floodplain ecosystems and individual biota groups in the context of global change have been constructed; museological and innovative support has been provided for nature conservation management measures for key species of biota, soils and habitat types. All the tasks and stages of work set out in the thematic card have been completed, and some have been exceeded. We have prepared two monographs and three manuals, produced numerous scientific and popular science publications (145 in total), justified the creation of new protected natural areas (22 areas covering almost 2000 ha), justified the expansion of existing areas and increased their level of protection (2 objects with an area of 23,877 ha), provided recommendations on nature conservation management of territories, objects, soils, biota, species and habitats (110,000 ha), held numerous environmental education events (17 scientific and practical seminars and conferences, 38 lectures and 170 media appearances), and collected, identified and described a significant and diverse range of material to replenish the stock and exhibition collections.
