Object of research – the process of ensuring the quality of inclusive education.
Subject of research – the professional profile of a special educator within the inclusive education quality assurance system, and the scientific and methodological principles for its implementation in the professional training of future special education specialists.
Aim of the study – to define and scientifically substantiate the professional role of a special educator within the inclusive education system, to develop a comprehensive professional profile for this role, and, on this basis, to determine the feasibility of institutionalizing the corresponding position within the Ukrainian educational landscape.
Research methods – theoretical (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, modeling), empirical (surveys), and methods of mathematical statistics and forecasting.
Theoretical and practical significance of the results – lies in the scientific substantiation of the special educator's professional role in the inclusive education quality assurance system; the systematization of international models of their professional activity; and the development of a coordination-pedagogical model of professional activity and a comprehensive professional profile for the special educator, encompassing the system of work functions, professional competencies, and corresponding learning outcomes. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of using them to improve the content of professional training for future special education specialists; to develop and update educational programs, academic courses, and instructional materials; and to serve as a scientific and methodological foundation for the further development of a professional standard for special educators and the regulatory definition of their professional role within Ukraine's education system.
