The objective of the development is the rduction of metal losses in refining and the reduction of specific consumption of electric power and total expenses on the preparation of magnesium reducing agent. After the application of the mixer in Shop No 7 of ZTMP, the following figures obtained: 1. Metal loses were reduced to 0.5 kg/t; 2. Specific electric power consumption was reduced to 100-120 kW*h/t; 3. Salt consumtion was reduced by 20 kg/t, barium chloride consumption was reduced to one-half as compared with the analogs.
