As alternative methods were proposed the monoethanolamine method (similar to Sulfatan) to produce sulphuric acid using DK-DA flowsheet (BCA process is possible) and Takahax to produce elementary sulphur. Environmental issues have been considered. The MEA process is recommended, its realization will allow to remove H2S by-product HCN and sulphur-containing organic compounds from coke oven gas.It is recommended to produce sulphuric acid using the DK-DA flowsheet.
