Coke oven gas is a specific energy resourse which is formed and used within a coke works. Actual data were analysed on the guild of COG while carbonising coal blend. A statistical relationship was obtained predicting coke oven gas yield depending on the resource of voletile matter in a blend (to the nearest 15m /t of blend). Procedures were prepared to norm the consumption of COG in varions processes of coke production on the basis of studies into theoretical and actual heat balances for main gas-using eguipment:defrasting garages, coke ovens, dryers, tubular furnaces. A summary prosedure was developed. A presentation was made to get an agreement and approval of the Goscomenergosberezhenie and Minprompolitika.
