Work purpose - the manufacture technology perfection of refractories from zirconium dioxide stabilized by calcium oxide. Research methods are chemical, petrographycal, roentgen and thermomechanical. As a result of carried out research it was ascertained that during an introduction of 5 - 10 % at monoclinic ZrO2 into samples from ZrO2 not entirely stabilized by CaO in cubic phase an increase of thermal shock resistance up to 12 - 14 heat cycles is reached, whereas the strength was increased up to 52,3 -54 MPa and at the same time the thermal shock resistance is increased up to 9 - 12 heat cycles as well as the strength is increased up to 40,5 - 61 MPa during an introduction of 15 - 27 % of monoclinic ZrO2 into samples from ZrO2 stabilized by CaO. The results of the research were used during the manufacture of trial lots of products from ZrO2 stabilized by CaO in sets for the manufacture of ultra pure quartz glass. The change draft for the technical instruction was worked out. The scientific work should be continued for the purpose of perfecting the manufacture technology and increasing the quality indices of products featuring sectors from stabilized zirconium dioxide.
