Work purpose - perfection of the technology of chromic oxide refractories, the manufacture checking of large sized natural products by means of the vibratory casting and putting into production of previously worked out compositions of charges during the semidry pressing as well as the manufacture of trial lots of chromic oxide refractories. The research methods - chemical analysis, optical microscopy, dispersivity analyzer ADK-03,standard procedures for the determination of open porosity, apparent density, compression strength of product samples. The research on the work- through of technological parameters of the vibratory casting of chromic oxide refractories including using vacuum treatment and which allowed to produce large sized trial product with a thickness of 153 mm and this is 2 times more compared with maximum possible thickness of pressed products. Open porosity of product makes up 15,3%, apparent density is 4,33 g/cm3, compression strengthis 276 MPa. Trial lots of chromic oxide products with improved characteristics using the semidry pressing method from 2 compositions of charges when combined using the chromic oxide of different dispersivity, breakage and glas of chromic oxide product in accordance with results of previonsly carried out works. Produced products had open porosity 16,7 - 18,0% and 15.6 - 16,8%, apparent density 4,10 - 4,26 and 4,23 - 4,34 g/cm3, compression strength 147 - 170 and 180 - 200 MPa accordingly. 4 trial lots of chromic oxide refractories of 7 standard sizes were produced and transferred for the possession of OJSC "StecloNiT", city UFA, Bashkortostan, Russian Federation and RUP "Polotskoye production department", city Polotsk, Republik Bieloruss. The specifications 26.2-00190503-229-2002 and technological instruction ТИ 24-ИО-93-2003 were worked out. An application for the supposed invention was submitted. The work should be continued for the improvement of researching reological characteristics of vibratory castchromic oxide mixes as well as the development of drying schedule of vibratory cast product and an introduction of developed technology of the vibratory casting during the manufacture of chromic oxide products of increased thickness.
