Research methods are petrographycal and chemical, determination of the powder densification during the vibration as well as the dilution of chromic oxide suspensions, of plastic strength of vibratory cast mixes on the plastometer ,standard procedures of an apparent density determination as well as of open porosity, linear shrinkage, compression strength of samples. The vibratory casting parameters were ascertained which ensure the manufacture of chromic oxide refractories with properties exceeding properties of chromic oxide refractories produced using the semidry pressing method.
