Work purpose is the perfection of the manufacture technology of corundum silicon carbide thixotropic runner mix which allows to obtain indices of properties on the level of best world analogues. Research methods are physico mechanical and chemical. The research on the improvement of composition of homemade corundumsilicon carbide thixotropic refractory mix was carried out. It was estabished that optimization of fine grainy component (matrix) of mix at the expense of using finedispersive imported alumina component allows to increase its quality up to the level of best foreign analogues. The homemade corundum silicon carbide thyxotropic runner refractory mix prepared on the basis of natural raw materials of Ukraine with a partial using imported (Alcoa company) fine dispersive alumina materials with indices of properties not inferion to the indiced of properties of the mix of " Vesuvius KCP" company. The scientific technical documentation for the preparation of the mixture of components of such mix was worked out. The trial lot of the mix was produced.
