Purpose: to study the influence of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection carriers on the development of somatic diseases of victims at the remote period after Chernobyl NPP accident and elaborate recoendations for mitigation of this influence. Methods of study: detection of anti-CMV antibodies by the particle agglutination and ELISA methods, CMV genome by polymerase chain reaction; immunophenotyping of peripheral blood leucocytes by means of monoclonal antibodies immunefluorescent staining, anibody concentration by radial immunodiffusion; biochemical methods of oxidative homeostasis estimation; mathematical ans statistical. Algorhytm for detection of CMV activity was developed. The frequency and clinical signs of active CMV-infection was revealed. Some modified influence of CMV on the course of chronic hepatitic C, chronic gastritis and chronic obstructive bronchitis was found. Peculairities of the oxidative systems of the body and its relation to parameters of immunity were analyzed.
