Obtaining of new data on regularities of steels and alloys resistance to abrasive wear at elevated temperatures is the goal of work. In order to achieve this it is necessary to develop corresponding testing technique and to perform tests of iron-carbon alloys. The development of technique for testing metallic materials on abrasive wear at elevated temperatures appears as result of performing the work in 2003. ГОСТ 17367-71 (wear of metallic materials against constrained abrasive) is taken as the base method for performing the tests. Created is the laboratory machine allowing testing samples at different velocities of sliding against abrasive in order to achieve the necessary heating level of friction surface.
