The work purpose - improving a manufacturing technology of mullitecorundum castable mix for the purpose of expanding a natural raw materials depot when conserving properties and the manufacturing of trial lots. The research methods are thermomechanical and physicomechanical, chemical, petrographycal. Laboratorial research on finalizing the manufacturing technology of mullitecorundum castable mix on the basis of fraction chamotte of ШК-2 brand, electrocorundum and additives of alumina of brand ГК-2, reactive alumina, natrium tripolyphospate and dispersing additions ADS/ADW.Optimum composition of mullitecorundum mix was determined and it was shown that produced material possesses high indices of strength, alkaliresistance and volume constance. It was not inferior to analogous indices of castable mix to be produced on the basis of highalumina chamotte of the brand ШМК-77 and to be used now. Trial sample of castable was produced and its properties were determined: the compression strength after hardening on air within 7 complete-days -91,9MPa, the compressin strength after thermal treatment at 1000o C -75,2 MPa,open porosity - 24%,apparent density - 2,4 g/cm3. Obtained results confirm the possibility of natural raw materials depot expansion for the manufacturing of a mix simultaneously with its cost reduction . The work should be continued for the purpose of increasing a content of highalumina cement in a castable mix when conserving its stability and service properties.
