The research purpose is the technology improvement of powders and mixes of magnesial composition for an employment in anti scorch coatings as well as the technology elaboration of magnesial powders with increased content of MgO for an employment in casting moulds.The research on the choice of chemical composition of magnesial powders for the use of them as the filling agent of antiscorch paints instead of electrocorundum powder.Industrial testings allowed to ascertain that finely milled powders of periclase chromite and chromite periclase composition are not inferior to electrocorundum powders when using them as a filling agent of antiscorch paints. Trial lot of finely milled powder with an addition of alumina for an employment as a hardener of coolhardening rod mixtures (ХТС) in the casting production instead of a filling agent using imported dunite.Using industrial testings an efficiency of its use as a hardener ХТС was confirmed. An employment of finely milled periclase powder with an addition of alumina was introduced into the production. In accordance with technological developments of the laboratory trial lots of powders and mixes of periclase, periclase chromite and chromite periclase of different graininess were produced. Trial powders and mixes were used for linings of induction furnaces for the milting of steel, aluminium and other nonferous metals as well as for the preparation of antiscorch liquid glass coatings and others.
