The composition and properties of the plant coal blend and coke were investigated. The mathematical models were developed describing the interrelation between the thermomechanical strength (CSR) and reactivity of coke (CRI) and the composition and properties of the initial stock. Recommendations are given how to compose coal blends using the parameters R and Y which improve the quality of coke as to CSR and CRI determined by the UKHIN.
