The research objects: 1. biological diversity of forest and steppe ecosystems on the Leftbank Ukraine, in particular, upland oak-forests and small forest in steppe ravines, north version of steppe virgin lands, chalk and granite grasslands; spider's, bird's and mammal's communities; beetles feeding; two Amphibia species population such as model of population variety study, species list of reptiles, feeding of some mammals species in the natural steppe regions; 2. mycoflora of natural phytocenosis cultural plants; 3. Kharkov region natural reserved fund; 4. genetic and demography processes into the small city's population and village's population. The aim of work: analysis of the present-day biodiversity status and it's conservation system. The monitoring of the genetic and demography processes in the population of medium-scale urbanization - comparative analysis of the population structure and genetic process into the small city's population and village's population of Khmel'nitskiy region, study ofthe main demographic indexes dynamics. Novelty the work: for the first time the monograph "Annotated checklist of aphyllophoroid fungi of Ukraine" is prepared and published. This monograph contains the full list of aphilophorales fungus, that has been found in our country in 1842; during the 2003 there were realized the intense investigations of the intraspecific structure, important morphologic, phytopathologic, physiologic and biochemical particular qualities of the different dangerous isolations phytopathogenetic fungus, the parasite of more then 200 species of the cultural and growing wild grasses - Bipolaris sorokiniana (Sacc. in Sorokin) Shoemaker. Spider's fauna investigations for the first time are held in biogeocenoses, that weren't studied in such plan ever before - chalk and granite grasslands, including the natural reservation territories. First there were held the ornithological investigations of the small forest in steppe ravines, such as example fragmentary ecotope. The analysis of the naturalreserved Kharkov region fund representativeness - such as the first stage of the nature reservation's active net development. The results of the work have been passed for use in International program "Important Bird Areas" and "The Threatened Bird Species Program" (by BirdLife International); and Ministry of ecological resources of Ukraine.
