Work purpose - development and manufacture putting into production of purging plugs of new configurations for steelteeming ladles. Research methods - chemical, physico-mechanical, petrographical. In O.J.S.C."Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" the manufacture of purging plugs with a height 300, 350. 380 and 450 mm became reality. The research was carried out as well as plugs with an increase by 1,75 times of of area of purging plugs for plant were produced. For the plant a trial lot of plugs of new configuration was produced. For the purpose of ascertaining of blowthrough of plugs a set was worked - out, produced, put into operation and certified that makes possible to carry - out measurements of the gas consumtion up to 400 l/min.. Plugs with a height 450 and 300 mm, as well a height 450 and 380 mm and a height 350 mm were produced and tested. Plug of Ukrniio ensures a stable blowthrough and they are safe in the service. The work should be continued for the purpose of working - out new constructions of new plugs and perfecting plugs composions as well as for the purpose of accumulating statistical data on the blowthrough of plugs and in the case of necessity of additional finishing of a set construction.
