Objective - to improve the results of the treatment of patients with tumors of locomotor apparatus. Methods and instruments - clinical, radiological, morphological, statistical, ultrasonic apparatus ATL HDI-5000, computed tomograph Somatom 4 Plus, MR-imager Magnetom, angiograph "Televix", gamma therapeutic apparatus "Rocus". Basing on examinations and treatment of 95 patients methods for the combined and complex therapy of patients with tumors of bones and soft tissues and skin melanoma have been developed. They were directed to the improvement of the results of the treatment due to extention of indications for organ saving operations by maximal preoperative devitalization of the tumors using radiotherapy and intra-arterial polychemotherapy with modifiers of cytostatic effect. Complex of diagnostic radiological examinations using ultrasonic doppler imaging, computed tomography, MRI and angiography have been elaborated. It allows planning of the adequate volume of surgical intervention and monitoring the efficacy of the treatment. Medical method with prolonged angiogenic effect (polyuretan+inhibitor of cyclooxinase-2) has been developed experimentally. Satisfactory immediate results were obtained - no pain after initial intra-arterial infusions of cytostatics, functions of injured xtremity as well as general state of the patient have been improved . The results can be used in oncology and orthopedy for the improvement of the results of treatment of patients by prolongation of survival and quality of life.
