The methods: demographics, mathematics and statistics. Results. It is shown, that the main contribution to losses of the population owing to surplus of death was introduced by the urban population during 1986-2002. Under analysis the territories have lost, on the average, in urban settlements 41, and in rural - 35 persons per each 1000 of its average annual of population (in the control - accordingly 84 and 22). The major losses were generated at age of 60 years and senior, and in children an insignificant gain of saved life at the expense of some reduction mortality was observed. A gain of saved life among the able-bodied population was higher in radioactivecontaminated territories, than level in the control, obviously, at the expense of increased migration of population activity. The size of losses at men exceeded losses of the women and has made of 55% from common losses (in the control losses of the women prevailed). By results of component analysis, the major losses of the population were generated at the expense of losses from somatic pathology (61%). The contribution of losses from neoplasms has made about 21%, and from the external reasons - 13,6%. A level of the contribution from neoplasms and external reasons was higher in radioactive contaminated rayons in comparison with the control. Accoding to generalized data of essential excess of demographic losses owing to increase mortality on radioactive contaminated territories in comparison with the control and Ukraine was not established.
