Complex investigations have been done regarding the properties of concentrates at coal washeries and regarding the coals mined at the operative coal mines in Ukraine. Based on the agreed coal resources and their qualitative and quantitative characteristics the recommendations were developed in 2004 as to rational grade composition of coal blends for the Ukraine coke works. The work describes the results of investigation of coals from near and remote foreign countries and recommendations are given how to use them in blends for carbonization and whether they are interchangeable with Donetsk coals.
