The objective is to refine analytical models, mathematical models and techniques for studying vibrations and stability of the mechanical systems running on the deformable foundation. The methods used: theoretical ones. The results obtained: the refined model of the wheelset - rail track interaction is developed, the methods for analyzing the motion of a car with active control of the body tilting while curving are developed, the mathematical models of the vehicle derailment is improved, activities on the development of software for the computer diagnostics system defining the track and running gears condition are started.
