The purpose of the work - the technology improvement of hexacalcium aluminate light-weight products and the technology mastering of insulating castables. Methods of researches - chemical, petrographic, physicomechanical, roentgenophase, thermalphysic. Researches on reception of hexacalcium aluminate light-weight with use of new grades of foam forming additions "Ноstapur ОSВ" and "Морпен" were executed, and hexacalcium aluminate light-weight with apparent density ~ 1,0 g/sm3 and crushing strength ~ 2,0 МPа was received. The research of various additions influence on thermal stability of hexacalcium aluminate light-weight was carried out. With addition of ВГЦ, more heat-resistant samples with improved physicomechanical properties were received: crushing strength ~ 5,0 МPа while apparent density ~ 1,1 g/sm3. Optimization ways of firing regime of ГАКЛ products were determined. Processes of СА6 synthesis in ГАКЛsamples from raw materials, stipulated by technology, and from chemically pure substances were investigated. It is established, that, synthesis of calcium aluminates from alumina and gypsum, as well as from oxides, occurs through СА and СА2 intermediate phases formation, differing by intensity, dependent on alumina activity, and by presence of additional intermediate phase - calcium sulfoaluminate. At temperature 1700 °С, СА6 synthesis comes to the end irrespective of dispersion and phase composition of alumina in the initial mix. Pore size distribution in ГАКЛ samples with additional porophores is investigated. It is established, that minimal heat conductivity have materials with microporous structure, in which the amount of macropores does not exceed 1 % . The technology of insulating castable with use of hexacalcium aluminate filler was mastered. The trial lot of castable with apparent density 1,62 g/sm3 and crushing strength 10,0 МPа was let out after seven day wet curing. The normative documentation oninsulating concrete mix was developed.
