The purpose of the work - new composition crucibles development, based on periclase and spinel. Methods of researches are - chemical, petrographic, physic- mechanical, determination method of suspension outflow time and investigation method of flowability under vibration of grain masses. The investigations of fines amount influence of fused spinel material, fused periclase and alumina of ГК-2 grade, as well as amount and size of spinel and periclase material fines on properties of periclase and spinel samples were carried out. The investigations on outflow time determination of suspension, based on micrograin component of mixes were performed, according to results of which the liquidizing addition (and its amount), providing the reception of periclase grain masses with humidity 6-7 % and flowability of mass cone 80-120 % was determined. As a result of the carried out researches, the trial periclase crucibles with periclase content 65-75 wt.% were produced, which allow to decrease the insertion content in metallic castings, as well as trial crucibles of mullitecorundum, corundumspinel and corundumpericlase compositions were produced. The work should be continued towards technology reprocessing and output of crucibles trial lot, based on periclase, spinel and corundum with sampling and application of other liquidizing additions and plasticizers, towards development of new configuration crucibles.
