The output of gross coke was determined by box coking at the different coking conditions at the batteries No. 1 and No. 3. The results showed that the output of gross coke depends on grade composition and coking time. The increase in blend volatile matters leads to reducing the quality of blast furnace coke, especially in CRI and CSR indices. It can be explained by pore changes and ash composition of coke. The recommendation were given about coking conditions, dependence of the output and quality of gross coke on the technological factors such as coking time, blend composition, volatile matters, ramp coke hardness .
