The aim of the work: elaboration of fundamental foundations of theory, mathematical models construction and numerical investigation of energetic parameters of slots mentioned above. The method of investigations: solving Maxwell equations taking into account boundary conditions on the metal and adjacent air-dielectric surfaces. Review of mathematical methods for waveguide-dielectric systems investigation is fulfilled. The problem of determining the scattering parameters of a longitudinal slot in a waveguide with a dielectric layer parallel to waveguide narrow walls is solved. For the electric field approximation in the slot only two functions, symmetric and antisymmetric ones, are used. The limits of their application are investigated. The physical properties of a transversal slot in a waveguide with a dielectric layer parallel to the waveguide broad walls are studied. The slot resonance properties, reflection and radiation coefficients are investigated depending on the system electric and geometric parameters. The results of investigations can be used in the process of radiation systems and feeding devices units construction.
