A comparable analysis of blast furnace tests was conducted including taking representative samples of coals, blends and coke, as well as complex research of the selected samples. A final component composition of the charge, was established providing the of blast furnace coke of higher quality (premium). Technological indices of the blast furnace operation using (premium) coke are much better than those of the base period using ordinary coke. The of (premium) coke in the blast furnace production of the JSC DMP in combination with pulverized coal injection allowed the productivity the blast furnace to be raised the coke vote to be reduced due to the improvement of coke quality and intensification of technological parameters of the blast furnace operation.
