Research methods a method of expert evaluations, methods of applied mathematical statistics and a theory of probability. The technique and software for evaluating a possibility of extending the service life of the "UMZ" material by the results of the fault detection are developed. The basic principles of multicriteria expert prediction of a possibility of extending the service life on a basis of construction of value functions of quantity and quality local indicesand consideration of the system of preferences of decision-making person are considered. The research results can be used for evaluating the extended service life of the A18M product and residual life of engineering objects. Based on the developed techniques and software by using the method of expert examination, a possibility of extending the service life of the A18M product material by the results of the fault detection is made. Applications: products of space and rocket industry. The results obtained will be introduced to extend the service life of the A18M product material in "Pivdenne" state Design Bureau.
