The purpose of the work is powder production technology development of fines of 40-20 mkm from ZrO2 stabilized by Y2O3 for plasma spraying. With using chemical, petrographic, X-ray phase analyses and in accordance with the flowability test technology raw materials and powders for heat-resistant coating from zirconium oxide stabilized by CaO or Y2O3 have been researched; physicochemical indices of properties of test powders have been determined. As a result of the carried out researches of time influence of powders deposition of fines less than 40 mkm along with their hydroclassification for powder yield of fines of 40-20 mkm, grain content in these powders more than 40 and less than 20 mkm, type and ПАВ addition amount influence on their flowability the production technology of the new type of product - powders for plasma spraying from zirconium oxide stabilized by ~10 % of Y2O3, fines of 40-20 mkm. The work shall becontinued in the line of further improvement of production technology of powders of fines of 40-20 mkm from zirconium oxide stabilized by ~10 % of Y2O3 for plasma spraying.
