The purpose of the work is reprocessing of production technology of corundum silicon carbide and silicon carbide refractories with silicon-nitride and sialon-bearing binders. The research methods are physical-mechanical, chemical, electron microscopic and petrographic ones. The researches of the influence of silicon carbide and corundum amount proportion on refractory samples properties have been carried out and their optimum quantity has been determined. The pilot product sample of corundum silicon carbide composition based on sialon-bearing binder has been produced. The refractory is characterized by mass fraction Al2O3 - 64,8 %, Siост - 0,38%, N2 - 7,8%, SiC - 11,2%, open porosity of 16,7%, apparent density of 2,92 g/cm3 , ultimate compression strength of 180 MPa and eroding velocity in iron of 0,06 g/cm2 h. As a result of the carried out work a new type of the refractory of corundum silicon carbide composition on sialon-bearing binder of KKCC, intended for work in thermal aggregates on the contact with melt of slag and iron has been obtained. The influence of the reactive mix based on natural raw materials on corundum silicon carbide samples properties on sialon-bearing binder has been researched. It has been determined that the use of Pologi kaolin in the composition of reaction mixture allows to obtain the refractory of corundum silicon carbide composition on sialon-bearing binder with open porosity of 17% and ultimate compression strength of 140 MPa. According to the carried out researches the application for the proposed invention has been submitted. The pilot batches of silicon carbide products of KKHK and KKOHB have beeb produced. The products met the requirements of TУ У 26.2-00190503-226-2002 with alteration № 1 and TУ У 26.2-00190503-224-2002 with alteration № 1. The work shall be continued in the line of mastering and improvement of the production technology of corundum siliconcarbide refractories on sialon-bearing binder and mastering production of new products type and size based on silicon carbide and corundum which are received by means of sintering.
