It has been shoun by kinetic methods that the peroxide catalytic decomposition proceeds through the complexation stage. The catalyst activity increases in the following way: Hex4NBr < Bu4NBr < Pr4NBr < Et4NBr for bromides and for iodides: Bu4NI < Et4NI < Me4NI. The iodides catalitic activity is considerably higher then corresponded bromide salt activity. The models of the reactive peroxide-catalyst complex have been proposed on the base of the molecular modelling results.
