We used a technique of a telescope polarimetric imaging of the Moon with a CCD LineScan camera and a CMOP camera at large phase angles, near polarization maximum. We report results of telescope polarimetric imaging of the Moon with a CCD LineScan camera at phase angles near 88 grad. This allows measurements of the polarization degree with an absolute accuracy better than 0,5% and detection of features with polarization contrast as small as 0,1%. The measurements were carried out in two spectral bands centered near o,65 mkm and 0,42 mkm. We suggest characterizing the lunar regolith with the parameter (Рmax)а х А.. Using our new laboratory measurements of size particle separates of bright and dark material we demonstrate the parameter bears significant information on the particle characteristic size and density of the lunar regolith. We consider the applicability of the Hubble Space Telescope and a spacecraft on a lunar polar orbit for polarimetric observations of the lunar surface. Parallax offsets of the surface topography for nadir looking Clementine data and new oblique HST observations allow mapping altitudes for the region of Apollo-17 landing site with resolution near 100 m.
